Wanda’s not only one of our founders/instructors, she’s a former HGTV/TLC Design Show Host. She’s also a Breast Cancer Survivor and an incredible source of inspiration. Wanda’s so much more than these titles; she’s a force of nature. Wanda’s always advocating for others and trying to make a difference. Wanda’s design motto may be “making the world beautiful one home at a time,” but her impact goes much deeper. In reality, she’s on a mission to make the world beautiful one life at a time, touching hearts and uplifting those around her.
In 2017, Wanda faced a life-altering diagnosis: metastatic breast cancer
The prognosis was grim, just six months to live. However, Wanda refused to let cancer dictate her life. With unwavering determination, she chose to embrace life fully, never allowing cancer to steal her dreams or moments.
In the midst of her battle, Wanda co-founded the Academy of Home Staging & Design
Amidst her battle, Wanda co-founded the Academy of Home Staging & Design, a remarkable initiative empowering individuals to transform their dreams into reality through education, mentorship, and unwavering support. Wanda’s living proof that dreams can become a reality.
But that’s not all; amidst her journey, she also found love, marrying the person who holds her heart. Wanda’s story testifies to the resilience of the human spirit and the power of pursuing passions, regardless of obstacles.
This year Wanda’s working on a new dream
Wanda’s creating a scholarship program that offers people the education and support needed to change their lives through a career in Home Staging & Design. She’s entered The Fab over 40 Contest to secure the funds for this scholarship and raise awareness for Breast Cancer, a deeply personal cause. The first scholarship will be awarded to a breast cancer survivor, a testament to her unwavering spirit. Scholarships will be available throughout the year, with a special scholarship awarded each October to a survivor.
